During this recent session, I had the honor of photographing a couple visiting for a few days, and it was the perfect combination of adventure, connection, and unforgettable scenery.
Starting at the Lake Havasu Visitor Center and London Bridge
We began our session near the Lake Havasu Visitor Center. This spot is such a perfect starting point for any photo session—it gives a great overview of the area and leads directly into some of Lake Havasu City’s most iconic photography locations. From there, we headed down to the famous London Bridge. This historic structure isn’t just a fun tourist attraction; it’s actually a gorgeous architectural feature that adds a classic, timeless touch to any vacation session.
With the water below and the bridge’s warm stone textures behind them, the couple shared sweet, quiet moments that felt straight out of a travel magazine. It’s no wonder the London Bridge remains one of the top spots for portrait photography in Lake Havasu.
Walking Along the Bridgewater Channel
After the bridge, we strolled down the Bridgewater Channel—one of my favorite walkable stretches for a session. The tree-lined path follows the water and provides so many fun photo opportunities along the way. Whether it's the light reflecting off the water, the colorful boats drifting by, or the gentle breeze lifting hair and dresses just enough to give portraits movement, this part of Lake Havasu offers a relaxed vibe that’s ideal for couples and families.
We paused along the way for candid moments, natural poses, and a few of those quiet connection shots that make you smile even before you see the photo. As a couples photographer in Lake Havasu, this setting is always one I recommend.
Afternoon Glow at Rotary Park
As the afternoon wore on, we made our way on foot to Rotary Park. While golden hour hadn’t quite arrived, the sunlight had already begun to dip near the mountains, casting a soft haze over the city. The slightly overcast sky provided the most incredible natural diffuser—the light was clean, even, and flattering in every direction. The soft shadows gave depth without harshness, and the clarity in the air made the springtime colors in the landscape pop in such a spectacular way.
We photographed along the park’s main walkway, with its classic lamp posts and open views of the trees and sky. Then we moved into a more tucked-away corner, where tall trees framed the couple beautifully and added an earthy, almost storybook vibe to their gallery. It was peaceful, glowy, and simply perfect for timeless, professional portraits in Lake Havasu City.

This session gave us a wide variety of images—from bold and iconic to soft and sentimental.
