A Promise

of artistry.

"Art is what we call… the thing an artist does. It’s not the medium or the oil or the price or whether it hangs on a wall or you eat it. What matters, what makes it art, is that the person who made it overcame the resistance, ignored the voice of doubt and made something worth making. Something risky. Something human. Art is not in the eye of the beholder. It’s in the soul of the artist."
-Sam Godin

In a world where Artificial Intelligence is becoming more and more common, many professionals in this industry have turned to AI-powered business solutions that automatically select and edit images to streamline processes and maximize profit margins. These programs can free many hours for business owners; however, I believe using AI solutions in this way removes so much of the artistry and personal connection from this field.

Most professional photo editing software now includes improved AI-powered tools that are used to enhance images in ways never possible before. That being said, when you book a session with me, you can rest assured that no AI business solutions will be used to automate the image selection or editing of your gallery. I have spent many years refining my style and skills, along with obtaining a formal education, to achieve my dream of providing these artistic creative services. While I do use editing software that contains AI-powered tools, the finished images I deliver will always be made with my own personal touch.

I believe in selecting and editing photographs based on their contents, guided by an artistic vision of what they can become rather than what they simply are. I carefully hand-select, edit, and process each photo with intention, treating your gallery as a collection of art rather than a mass-produced product.

Photography is, at its core, a service of the heart. Every image I deliver is chosen and refined to artfully preserve and document people and their lives. By the time I deliver your final gallery, I will know your facial expressions so well that I could recognize you years later when you're walking down the street. I grin so much as I perfect each smiling image that my face hurts, and sometimes I tear up when I go through the emotional moments of you with your loved ones. After spending dozens of hours editing and re-living every moment- shot at fractions of a second- I remember you, and I truly care for you. That’s something profoundly human, and that is the promise I make to every single client I work with.
